Dr. Luis Alvarado

Luis Alvarado has 33 years of experience in higher education administration, training and consulting in marketing and communications. In addition, it has a strong experience in developing international relations of institutions related to the use of technology for distance education.
As an administrator in higher education, has handled internal and external communications for Latin America Virtual University, developed continuing education courses and seminars for public administrators and officials from Latin America with content from Harvard University, Georgetown University and Tecnológico de Monterrey. Recently developed a Certificate in Digital Marketing and Loyalty Solutions in association with Quaxar, a digital marketing company based in Miami, Florida.
As marketing and communications consultant, has worked in over 80 global companies and medium in the U.S. and 18 countries in Latin America. He also established international partnerships with institutions such as the Fundación García Márquez, the World Bank Institute, the Inter American Press Association and many other universities and institutions. Dr. Alvarado also met and interviewed more than 100 world leaders for the Virtual University network via satellite (Henry Kissinger, Don Tapscott, Lech Walesa, Desmond Tutu, Jacques Chirac, among many others).
Currently, Dr. Luis Alvarado has the privilege of being the Director of the Tecnológico de Monterrey USA, Inc. is responsible for developing programs of study abroad and exchange agreements with accredited universities in the U.S. and creating full-time internships in multinational corporations and medium-sized as well as research centers in the United States for students from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
He has a degree in Communication ITESM, an MBA from Ohio University and a Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati. He lives in Boca Raton, Florida.
